Getting Gifts for Babies
Do you know what is most funny about babies and the gifts they get? A lot of the time,
the wrapping and packaging of the gifts are often more flamboyant than the gifts
themselves. And why shouldn’t they be? The baby would remember it better, and love
you for bringing the best wrapped package. That is, if the baby is going to be
remembering anything at all about the day.
You shouldn’t be too worried about the way your gift looks, although it would be nice if
you could package it all right for the baby you are giving it to. Some people are just
happy to have you around. For them, that alone is gift enough. Yes, you read that right -
your presence can be gift enough. But at least, you shouldn’t show up empty handed!
The way you present yourself, the way you present your gift; they say something about
you. Sometimes, it isn’t even the gift itself; it is the attitude of the person that gives the
gift that determines if the parents of the baby will appreciate you, or if they will not. So
what’s going to be? A naughty gift or a really nice one?
It does not take an angel to pick out a great present to give to a newborn baby, although I
must confess that some folks really are rather good at it. Every time they come to a baby
shower, they are holding something new, unique, and different that both the baby and the
parents are bound to love. Well, you don’t have to be that perfect, you can just give
because you love the child, and really it would be fine just like that.
Only the best of gifts are worthy of a baby. And why not? If these are going to be the first
of their kind in the life of this child, they really should be first rate. I mean, the child has
got the rest of his or her life to meet with disappointments, let that time not be because of
the gifts he or she is getting now. Not good at all, in my opinion.
